Don Rauf is the founding father of the long-running NY/Brooklyn chamber punk ensemble people call Life in a Blender. The NY Daily News called Don a manic combination of Alice Cooper and F. Scott Fitzgerald. The New Yorker said that Blender's "lyrical themes and arrangements reveal flexibility and imagination." The band's live performances are notorious explosive freak shows, featuring still-standing members--Dave Moody, Al Houghton, Ken Meyer, Mark Lerner, and Rebecca Weiner Tompkins.
